Description of training:  

This high-impact, 90-minute workshop is designed for employees at all levels and builds awareness of their individual change response. The session features proprietary research of the characteristics of both individual and organizational resilience and includes tools to help participants gain new insight on their tendencies in dealing with change and uncertainty. 

Each participant will be offered free access to AHC’s online Individual Resiliency Assessment to gain insight to their natural strengths and areas for professional development for better coping with change and uncertainty. Finally, we’ll explore the Six Traits of Agile Organizations and the leader’s role in curating a culture that better supports employee resilience through change.

Learning outcomes:  

  • Explore personality factors that shape one’s tendencies in coping with change;
  • Assess your individual strengths and identify opportunities for personal development;
  • Explore six critical traits of agile organizations;
  • Develop skills that will help you lead yourself and others through changing environments.

Meet Rick Maher 

Richard D. ("Rick") Maher is a veteran of the human resources industry, and a recognized leader in the fields of managing organizational change and the strategic management of human capital. Over a career spanning nearly 30 years, he has helped to guide many notable change initiatives for clients in both the public and private sectors.

Maher has been at the forefront of workforce training and education system transformation and policy guidance – working throughout the United States and internationally. He helped to design and deploy the United States Department of Labor’s first online Community of Practice to build capacity of both workforce and educational professionals. In the private sector, Maher has consulted on talent development issues with some of the world's largest enterprises, including Goldman Sachs, Time Warner, Schering-Plough, AOL, TD Ameritrade, Cox Communications and more. He has been the keynote speaker at numerous conferences in the U.S. and abroad.
